Perfect for square foot gardening and raised vegetable gardens. This is extremely rich soil consisting of peat moss, composts (including high grade organic compost), and volcanic cinders. This soil lasts longer than the rest, as it re-feeds with time.
The lava cinders added for drainage also have lots of pores resulting from expanding gasses when the stones are formed. These pores provide the perfect habitat for beneficial microbes to grow. Which in turn encourages a healthy soil ecology.
